Double Trouble

In Maths this week we have been learning about ‘Doubling’. We began by learning what we mean by doubling and then have been applying our understanding through practical activities such as doubling unifix towers, using ladybirds to double the amount of spots on each sides and representing doubling problems as a number sentence. In Literacy we thought of questions we would ask a fire-fighter and recorded our questions. We talked about question words such as who, why, what, when how, which and used these to think of interesting questions. Unfortunately our fire-engine visit on Monday was cancelled due to the fire-engine having to attend an emergency so we haven’t been able to ask our questions yet…!
