Hooray Hoo-weigh!

This week in Maths we have been investigating weight and measure. We chose objects from around the classroom and tested them to find out which was the heaviest/lightest. In Literacy we constructed our first shared piece of writing; a sentence about our focus story ‘The Little Red Hen’. We then had to use our own ideas to think of a simple sentence to describe our favourite part of the story. In Faith and Belief we listened to the Christmas story and created our own representation of the story as a picture in sand.

Sounds taught so far: s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, o, g, c, k, ck, e, u, r, h, j, b, f/ff, l/ll, v, w, x, y (Can you read or write any words using these sounds?)

Tricky words introduced: no, go, I, the, he, me, be
