One week to go…

until our performance of ‘The Sleepy Shepherd’! Well done to everyone who has been practising the songs, actions and lines at home – it is really showing in our practices!

We have continued reading The Little Red Hen this week and have sequenced the main events in the story. We have also been decoding simple sentences from the story such as ‘The hen is red’ and then ordering the words in the sentence. In Maths we have introduced subtraction and will be exploring this further next week. We have been looking through our Learning Journeys and reflecting on all the things we can do now that we couldn’t do when we started Reception. We then all came up with our own next step/target for the next few weeks.
