The Great Apple & Lime Bake Off!

In Maths we have been combining two groups of objects to find a total and we have practised recording this using dots, numbers or number sentences. In Literacy the children are now attempting to read more and more simple words. In Literacy this week we have made gingerbread! We have loved reading a simple recipe to make Gingerbread Men and we all wrote a shopping list of ingredients before starting to cook to make sure that we have everything we needed! We have been looking in stories to find tricky words that we have learnt and are beginning to notice just how common these words are! We are really looking forward to practising our Nativity, we are learning the songs and will be working hard over the next few weeks to bring it all together!

Sounds taught so far: s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, o, g, c, k, ck, e, u, r, h, b, f, ff, l, ll, ss, j, v, w, x
