Lots of fun was had by all on World Book Day, on Thursday. We had a very busy day sharing books with Year 4s, designing sweets and a chocolate factory and the highlight was creating and writing recipes for a marvellous medicine/potion. Everyone’s costumes were fabulous and the day inspired us all to pick up and enjoy a book with others.
Aside from that we have been following our regular timetable, and in Maths we have been working on a ‘Think 10’ strategy to help with our mental maths. We will consolidate this learning next week.
In Literacy we have been looking at the text of ‘The Emperor Penguin’s New Clothes’ and doing some amazing writing.
We had a really useful talk on Road Safety on Tuesday. Ask your child what four things they should do when they are crossing the road. Hopefully they will tell you – STOP, LOOK, LISTEN, THINK!
We are really looking forward to our little trip to St Albans Museum next week. Any parent helpers available, please let us know.
Have a lovely weekend!
