Shapes are EVERYWHERE!

Next week we will be learning about 3D shapes! Have a go at looking out for any 3D shapes in the environment such as a sphere football or a cylinder water bottle! We will begin to name, describe and sort 3D shape by their properties.

As part of our learning about 3D shapes we will be using junk modelling (already one of our favourite activities!) to model new vocabulary and begin to recognise similarities and differences between a range of 3D shapes. We would be grateful if you could bring in lots of cardboard boxes, tubes, toblerone packets etc. to link to the following 3D shapes: sphere, cylinder, cube, cuboid, cone, pyramid.
