What a week! With everything that has been going on recently, we decided to have fun in class and link our poetry unit to raps. We looked at a number of fun raps but we settled on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air being our favourite. We re-wrote the rap to tell a different story and even performed to the class with the backing track.
In Maths we have been looking at percentages. First we focused on converting percentages to fractions, decimals and hundredths. We then looked at scaling up and scaling down to find percentages when fractions like 5/20 or 30/500 were used. We finally moved onto finding percentages of amounts using the bubble method.
Next few weeks
The next few weeks will be very different for us all as our learning will be via Google Classrooms. Work will be set daily and we will stick to our usual timetable so please schedule in times for breaks and Golden Time. We have put a copy of our timetable on Google Classroom for you to use.
Where and when possible we will be marking, returning back and adding GFG’s to the work that is handed in on Google classrooms so please look out for this.
We wish you all the very best and look forward to seeing you all back soon – keep safe!
