Welcome back, we hope you had a good half term break.
This week our number of the week is number 7. The rhyme is: Across the sky and down from heaven, that’s the way we make a seven.
In phonics we have learnt the sounds: h, b, f, ff and the tricky word, to.
These are the actions to go with the sounds…
h Hold hand in front of mouth panting h, h, h as if you are out of breath.
b Pretend to hit a ball with a bat and say b, b, b, b.
f , ff Let hands gently come together as if toy fish deflating, and say ffffff
The children came back to school telling their stories about what they did for Halloween. We had a pumpkin in Apple Class, so we decided to make pumpkin and carrot soup. We scooped out the seeds of the pumpkin and then scooped out the flesh. We cut up the carrots and added stock to it. Then we cooked it and tasted it. All the children had a try, some thought it was delicious but others weren’t so keen!
In our music lesson with Miss Dore, we made our own song, using news from the holiday and put it to the tune of twinkle twinkle.
