The children have settled well into the second half of autumn term. The weather has been cold and dry so the children have been able to go outside to learn.
In English we are reading Ruby’s Worry by Tom Percival and the children have discussed and written about ways to reduce stress, things that make them happy and the importance of talking about their worries. The children had the opportunity to paint scenes that made them feel calm and happy.
The children have enjoyed exploring how number calculations can be represented in different formats, using cubes, bead strings, counters, cherry model and bar models.
