Egyptian day was the perfect way to start this half term. Children thoroughly enjoyed travelling back in time stopping off at various key historical periods along the way.
We became scribers creating our own papyrus paper before scribing our own secret message using the hieroglyphics alphabet.
We also had a go at embalming each other. The fingers caused some difficulties and therefore lots of problem solving skills were applied.
In the afternoon we had to catalogue Howard Carter’s discoveries from a head rest to kohl pot. Here are just a few, how many can you name?
Thank you to all parents and children for taking the time to create such amazing costumes. Everyone looked fantastic and it made the day even more special!
