This week is Anti-Bullying Week. In Reception we watched the video ‘For the Birds’. On our first watch we all found it really funny, but when we watched it again and started talking about what was happening we realised that actually the little birds did quite a lot of mean things. The deeper we dug the more we decided that there were a lot more options that the birds could have done instead. It’s a great video to watch at home and talk about further!
In phonics this week we have learnt the tricky word the. We have now learnt all of the phase 2 phonemes and tricky words, which are as follows:
s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, g, o, c, k, ck, e, u, r, h, b, f, ff, l, ll, ss

Play phoneme spotter with your child by finding phonemes on a page, or searching for tricky words on a book!
