Rain, rain go away!

Hi everyone,

This week we have been estimating the number of objects in a jar and values on a blank number line.

In English we have  continued to work on the story of The Gingerbread Man creating our own characters and used them to practise our sentence writing. The children have focussed on the features of a sentence remembering to use capital letters, finger spaces, full stops and ensuring it makes sense.  Next week we will be reading The Leaf Man.

The children have enjoyed our science activity which has been to follow instructions to make a rain gauge and a chart to record all the rain we’ve been having lately. They having been practising using a ruler to make a scale, making some predictions and discussing ways to record their readings.

Here are some pictures of the week.

Just to remind you that children should only be bringing water into school in their water bottles.

Have a good weekend!
