Another great week in Year 3!
In Maths, we’ve been working hard on angles. We looked at right angles, and angles greater than and less than. We then found these in 2D shapes and everyday items. We have set an ‘Angle hunt’ for homework; so at home, you can help by discussing the types of angles with your children and asking them how they know which angle it is.
This week, our English and Science have been linked, and we have been writing explanation texts based on our Science unit of The Human Body. We focused on using time, coordinating and subordinating conjunctions within our work, and describing the processes within the body. You can see a few examples below.
On Wednesday, we watched the Christmas pantomime of Jack and the beanstalk and all really enjoyed it!
We’ve been continuing our work on 5 ways to wellbeing, focusing on connecting with each other and being kind.
Learners of the week in Vermillion: Mary Catherine, for editing and improving her work really well, and Sarah for asking questions to improve her work.
Learners of the week in Amber: Mia and Franklin, for consistent effort to improve reading.
Have a great weekend!
