What a difference a day makes…

The children have coped so well with the heat this week, reminding each other to seek shade and drink lots of water.  With the weather today, we are transported back to PGL!  This has helped us in our ICT lessons, for which the children have started using their computing skills to create a PGL-themed game, website or set of slides.
This week, the children have given their all to some mock SATs tests; we just couldn’t be prouder.  It was fantastic to see their focus and determination, and this reflected positively in the results.
In DT this week, as part of our preparation for making a curry, we have looked closely at some of the main ingredients. We had fun identifying them, smelling them, and finally tasting them. Next week we will have the opportunity to do some curry taste testing; comparing a ready meal curry, a homemade curry and a takeaway curry.
We all laughed a lot this week when taking photos in preparation for the Year Book.  There were lots of silly faces and even some props involved and we can’t wait to see the final product.
Next week, preparations for the end of Year 6 Production will get under way in earnest with lots of songs to learn and auditions taking place.  Wish us luck!
