A little pun intended there but here we find ourselves again.
A schedule for next week’s lessons will go live on Monday morning and will outline when the live sessions will be and what other tasks will be set. Our main focus will be the production and Leavers’ assembly to ensure we have enough time to learn the lines, songs and dances. There will also be RE, PE and Spanish live lessons throughout the week, as well as a secondary school transitions project and a Maths project.
Our Rock Bottom rehearsals are well underway with the cast now having their scripts. The children have been working very hard this week and have got stuck into learning the very catchy songs and dances; we are sure you will be hearing them at home too.
So our curry tasting turned into more of a curry feast! We were lucky enough to sample 3 different vegetarian curries along with naan bread and vegetable samosas – which had a little kick! Mrs Cheru kindly made a delicious chickpea curry (chana masala). Local business – Cha & Nasta – generously donated a very tasty lentil daal which we then compared with a shop bought potato curry. I think you can tell from the pictures below that we all had a great time.
In Spanish, the children have been learning about different fun and fascinating festivals which are celebrated in Spain. These include La Tomatina – where hundreds join together for a massive tomato fight; Las Fallas which is a big celebration of fire and costume and El Encierro de San Fermin: the nail-biting running of the bulls in Pamplona.
We all can’t wait to welcome you back on Monday the 5th July.
