This week Reception were able to see the butterflies hatch out of their cocoons. If you see any painted lady butterflies in your garden, we wonder if they are the ones Reception nurtured.
In Maths we focused on number formation, different ways of making 5 and making maths games using bean bags and hoops.
We learned a new number rhyme formation song which the children asked to be put on the blog so here it is…
In the creative area we introduced the children to modelling clay. We talked about stretching, bending, twisting and moulding the clay. The children decided what they wanted to make. It ranged from a dog in a basket to a burrito!
The children thoroughly enjoyed PE when we got all the apparatus out. They enjoyed challenging themselves especially when climbing to a high height.
Thank you to those who have returned library books and reading books. They will be sent out again in September.
Have a lovely weekend.
