This week we have been working really hard on writing our letters to Nasa. We made sure to use lots of persuasive language so that Nasa knew that our rockets were the best! We have also been creating fact files in History and have learnt about Yuri Gagarin and Neil Armstrong so far. Next week we will finish them off with a section on Helen Sharman – be sure to come and see them in soft start as well!
In maths we have continued to think about place value and have started to use a number square to add and subtract in tens and ones. We also practised our comparing and ordering skills and tried some really tricky challenges!
In Science we are hoping that our beans will continue to grow over the next week so that we can write a conclusion next week.
Well done to our stars of the month who have their work displayed in Mrs Stray’s office! They have worked so hard so far in year 2 and are always ready to learn and trying their best!
In Faith and Belief this week we have been looking at signs and symbols. We enjoyed exploring the school and will look at different signs and symbols in Christianity and Hinduism over the coming weeks. If you would like to volunteer to come and talk to the children about either of these religions please do let Miss Farley or Miss Ellis know as we would love to have some guest speakers!
