1, 2, 3!

Reception have noticed the change in weather but are still enjoying being outside. This week the children were making playdough outside. It was lovely to see so much playdough being made and then put all together, so in the afternoon the children inside could use it.

This week in phonics we have been looking at the sounds  r, h and b and what the actions are for each one. We introduced phoneme frames and the children have been writing cvc words eg rug, bat.

We have been looking at the story ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ and using this as part of our helicopter stories. Do ask the children to tell you the story- they are very good at it.

In Maths we have been looking at the numbers 1, 2 and 3. We will be going on a number walk next week.

Happy Birthday to Poppy.

On Friday we are going to Victoria Playing Fields and Park and can’t wait!

Have fun!
