This year, the boys A football team for Alban City School played in a league alongside different primary schools from all across St Albans. They got off to a slow start with more draws and losses than at any other point in the season, but picked up towards the end with many victories and a notable draw in one of their last games. After going 5-1 down to the runners-up of this year’s league, they managed to claw it back to 5-5 in the closing stages of the match. This boosted them forward to win the competition for the first time in the school’s history, and on its tenth anniversary it seemed quite fitting.
