Well done to all of our new children that have started in Reception this week! It has been very busy and hot week but they have all settled amazingly! During this week we have spent time exploring our new environment and all of the activities we have out. We have been learning our class rules and how to look after our classrooms. We have also played lots of carpet games to get to know all of the children in our class.
We have also started to learn some of our Phase 2 Phonic sounds- s, a, t p. If you are unsure of how we teach these sounds within school please come and ask the class teachers.
All Reception children will be starting PE lessons next week, please make sure that PE kits are on their pegs. Lime class PE lessons are on Wednesday and Apple class on Thursday. If possible please bring in a pair of wellies for your children to wear in the sand pit, mud kitchen and very rainy days.
