What a week!

Well done Year 5 for a WONDERFUL first week at school! You have had such an amazing attitude to learning and we have got stuck in straight away with all our subjects.

In English, we are looking at a book by Louis Sachar called “There’s a boy in the girls’ bathroom” and we are getting to know lots about Bradley Chalkers and his antics. The children have produced some lovely work this week, writing all about Bradley and we are really aiming to use our neatest handwriting and pack our work full of amazing vocabulary.

In Maths, we are refreshing our knowledge of place value, partitioning numbers and thinking about how they are built. We will continue with this next week. Please continue to practise times tables and arithmetic skills frequently – why not use TTRockstars?

The week has also been packed with swimming, learning about the Tudors and Judaism, and some very enthusiastic sing in rounds in Music!

Have a lovely weekend and remember to record your reading in your Homework Diaries!
