A Week of Wonderful Learning

We have enjoyed another fantastic week in Year 3. This week in English, we read How To Wash a Woolly Mammoth by Michelle Robinson and we worked on developing our vocabulary to describe the enormous, crystal white bath, the rainbow bubbles and the brooms, brushes and combs needed to wash a mammoth. In Maths, we have been continuing our Place Value work by estimating where numbers should be placed on a number line, as well as rounding to the nearest 10.

In R.E. we continued to look at the Five Pillars of Islam and the children presented in groups, to explain their understanding of each of the pillars.

Please remind children that they should put the recorder back in their school bag as soon as they finish practising, so that it is always ready in school. A number of children did not have their recorders for their lesson this week.

Homework is on Google Classroom. Please let your class teacher know if you would like the Homework printed and sent home on paper.

Times Tables Rock Stars:

Children should practise their Times Tables  on the Times Tables Rock Stars website. In Year 3, children should practise in the ‘Garage’. Please let your class teacher know if you are not able to access Times Tables Rock Stars at home.

Please read with your child at least 3 times a week for 10 minutes and sign the Homework Diary. Thank you to everyone who has made such an amazing effort to bring their reading books in every day.

Have a wonderful weekend.
