Science fun!

It’s been another great week in year 5! We’ve written our very own reports about Bradley Chalkers, pretending to be his teacher! The children really got into the role!

In Maths, we have continued to work on place value and have started thinking about rounding and looking at negative numbers. Make sure you keep up with the weekly maths homework on Google Classroom.

In Science, we did an exciting experiment where we tested the properties of different materials. We had a look at whether they were: magnetic, soluble, a conductor, transparent and hard. The children displayed excellent teamwork and then wrote a scientific method.

In Music, we looked at the Henry VIII song from Horrible Histories. Find the link on Google Classroom to get practising! It was also very interesting looking at sources about Henry VIII and thinking about how reliable we think they are.

Have a lovely weekend and see you next week!
