Hello everyone, we have had another busy week in Year 3. We have continued to use ‘The 3 Little Pigs’ as a stimulus for our writing. This week we have been describing the pigs. We used a thesaurus to build our vocabulary and used then to create noun phrases. Year 3 are producing some great writing!
In Maths we have been working on data handling looking at tally charts and bar models. In Geography we explored the physical and human features of St Albans. We had to think hard about whether our parks are human or physical features.
In Science this week we learnt about the bones in our bodies as you can see from the skeleton outside Amber Class and on display in Vermilion!
Finally in RE we have been learning about the story of Noah’s Ark. We used an amazing picture to wonder about why God chose Noah and just what a big job it would have been to build an ark!
We have an English quiz for you this week for Home work. Keep practising your spellings, times tables and recorders.
Have a lovely weekend,
Year 3 team.
