Happy New Year!

Welcome back to school and happy 2024!

We have got straight back into this new term, practising our work with multiplying fractions by whole numbers and reading our new book for English – The Watertower. It is very mysterious and the children were left intrigued by the cliff hanger and suspense throughout.

In Music, we have been thinking about our Spring Concert and practising some songs to sing. Year 5 are also starting a band and lots of Year 5 will be attending Young Voices very soon for choir!

In Art we have started to look at the artist Andy Warhol and enjoyed researching about him and looking at some of his Pop Art. Start thinking of objects you might want to include in your artwork this term.

We are now looking at mountains and volcanoes in Geography and looked at contour lines on Google Maps to find the heights of many famous mountains. It was good to refresh our knowledge on continents, countries and how to use an atlas as well.

Have a lovely weekend and see you Monday!
