Visitors, Easter baskets and chocolate nests…

Hi everyone,

This week in English we have been learning about nouns, adjectives and verbs, we have practised using a variety of adjectives in our sentences to make them more colourful.

In Maths, we have been practicing our measuring skills, this time focusing on volume and capacity. We have been measuring different volumes of liquid and we have also been making magical potions! The children have practiced using key words: full, nearly full, half full, nearly empty and empty.

In RE this week we have been learning about the Christian celebration of Easter.  The children have been learning about the Easter story before a local vicar came in to talk about the Easter story in more detail and answer some important questions. We then made and decorated Easter baskets before making a chocolate crispy nest to go inside!

As part of our Feelit! programme, recognising and dealing with different emotions, we looked at how being ‘Included and Nervous’  might feel.

Please can your child have their PE in school on the first day back after Easter.

Have a lovely spring break and we look forward to seeing you on Monday the 15th.
