A day at Cairo City School!

Well done this week to Gold Class, who completed their presentation assembly and wowed us all with facts and laughs. Everyone loved the chance to see what a day in Egyptian school (CCS -Cairo City School) looked like, and we are especially proud of everyone for still trying so hard despite a few technical issues!

In English this week, Year 4 have been writing all about their own goblins and nymphs inspired by Overheard on a saltmarsh. We started with some detailed drawings, and now there have been lovely descriptive paragraphs about nervous Nymphs and gross goblins!

For maths this week, the children have been working hard to practise converting different measures. We looked at the different measurements of length, and have now moved on to converting weights and some of us are even converting units of time.

In PE this week, Year 4 practised with rugby balls, netballs, tennis balls and basketballs to show off throwing skills. Meanwhile, in gymnastics the children have been practising their balances on the equipment.

In science, the children have now finished some wonderful comics all about the journey a rain droplet undergoes in the water cycle.

And in art the children have started to produce their own watercolour Christmas cards inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night, stay tuned to see the finished versions next week!

We hope you all have a lovely weekend – Year 4 Team.
