As part of the English Schools Football Association (ESFA), Alban City school were encouraged to participate in the #letgirlsplay initiative. Mr Clements decided to organise a massive event on Friday 8th March. Gardenfields hosted on their expansive playing fields, multiple pitches of games whilst coaching sessions were provided by Arsenal Ladies and Tottenham academy coaches. 100 girls from 5 primary school across St Albans participated and loved every second! A special thank you to Aaron D’Antino (Arsenal ladies) and Donny Campaniello (Tottenham) who put on skill based sessions for the girls in between their matches against other schools, they were impressed by everyone’s enthusiasm and performance.
