Last week, Year 4 had a wonderful time on our trip to Epping Forest. We had fantastic weather for being outdoors enjoying all the beauty that Epping Forest has to offer. We all took part in minibeast hunting and identifying in the grasslands as well as learning how to survive by building a shelter and making a fire using a steel. We thought you might like to look at the pictures of the day.
This week we took part in Sustainable Day and both classes had lessons using no power or paper. They changed lyrics to a song or performed drama to highlight the environmental issues we face today.
In science, we have started a new topic of the digestive system and we have looked at our own teeth and their functions.
In maths we had a positive time with negative numbers. (ha ha)! We looked at counting back through zero and word problems.
In history we have looked at the Vikings as traders and studied a knarr, which was a Viking trading boat.
Have a lovely weekend.
