Our second week in Year 3 has been great, everyone is settling into our class routines well. In English we had fun learning how to give good instructions and played a game helping us understand what imperative verbs are. In Maths we continued to work on place value finding 10 more and 10 less. We are working hard on improving our presentation in all our learning.
We started learning about the Stone Age in History and compared things from the Stone Age with things from the modern age. It really got us thinking! In Art we learnt about the artist Laura Mckendry who loves using charcoal to draw animals. We started learning about Islam in RE and we really loved learning about the super six rocks in Science. We used magnifying glasses to examine them and a flow chart to name them. Take a look at our investigation below.
