20.9.24 Have you ever wondered how to wash a woolly mammoth?

We have all been working hard in Year 3 this week.  It has been a busy week in Maths,  we have covered estimating numbers, rounding numbers and have started adding and subtracting ones from 3 digit numbers! In English we had great fun reading the story ‘How to wash a woolly mammoth’  and it inspired us to write our own set of instructions. Do come and have a look – we have been taking great care to form our letters correctly and our presentation is already improving.

Meanwhile in other subjects we compared animals from the stone age and modern age. Did you know that there were badgers and hares in the stone age? In Science we sorted our super 6 rocks into different categories such as  soft and hard or layered  and not layered. In RE we continued to learn about Islam by focusing on the story of the crying camel and how Muhammad showed kindness to the camel. We practised using charcoal to make different types of marks in the page and our skills are definitely improving!

Take a look!
