Last week was action packed as we made good progress with our DT projects – creating moving toys in the style of the Ancient Greeks. The toppers have been decorated (after some research about the Ancient Greeks for inspiration) and we have started to saw and sand our dowels in preparation. Thank you for all the shoeboxes!
In Maths, we looked at rounding and negative numbers, thinking about numbers in relation to 10s, 100s and 1000s and how we pass through zero. We completed lots of challenges including word problems but keep practising at home!
We have nearly finished reading “There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom” and are excited to find out the ending… We all turned into teachers in English, writing an end of year report for Bradley, drawing on our knowledge from the book and how he has changed. This week we will be writing letters from Bradley to Carla.
In Science, we had great fun experiment with different materials to test out their properties. Did you know that only some coins are magnetic?
Hope you had a lovely weekend and welcome back for another fun week!
