We hope you all had a lovely half term and it’s been a great week back for us!
We have continued to read our new text “Who Let The Gods Out” and are enjoying learning lots of new vocabulary about the Ancient Greeks and getting to know the characters. We have been starting to think about our own adventure story with a Greek God or Goddess with a focus on tension and suspense techniques. This week’s homework is to make a story map so you are prepared for your English lessons.
In Maths we have been learning the butterfly method to add and subtract fractions. Also, when you multiply fractions you just multiply the numerators together and then the denominators together. We have looked at square and cube numbers as well and done some problem solving with them.
Today Forest class started the new Art module and we used pencils to sketch different animals/mythical creatures and charcoal to make marks that decorated them. It was good to practise and ensure that we were taking our time and experimenting.
Have a lovely weekend and see you all next week!
