The children were very relieved to read the sequel to “The Watertower” which is called “Beneath the Surface” but were not so pleased to be left with yet another cliffhanger! We have been writing newspaper reports about the strange happenings in Preston, full of detail, quotes and mystery. Well done everyone!
This week also brought us more fractions and we have all had a refresher on how to find fractions of amounts. Drawing bar models can really help you visualise the problem.
In Geography, we have been finding 4 and 6 figure grid references, looking at how we can be more precise and thinking about the uses of Maths. In Science, we found out that magnets can affect a compass so make sure you don’t go near any of them or you may be lost (with or without a map)!
Have a lovely weekend and see you on Monday!
