Ice-Scream for the Year 4 Geniuses!

Well done to Gold class this morning for a fantastic assembly, we all had a great time seeing who could get their questions right in ‘Year 4 Genius’, everyone was so proud!

Saffron class have finally finished their ice creams today and they look very tasty! The finishing touches have involved colourful ‘sprinkles’, which really look amazing!

We have been working hard to finish our instructions about how to look after a zoo animal. We have used command sentences, time adverbials and our research to instruct the zoo keepers on how to care for a pride of lions or a colony of penguins properly.

In maths we have been completing our perimeter unit by discovering different ways to calculate the perimeter of rectangles. We started by using lolly sticks to help us before progressing on to rectangles of different scales. We have then been solving problems, for example finding the length of the missing sides.

We have completed our Geography unit about Malham by comparing visitors to Malham with visitors to St Albans. Some of us went on a mini field trip into the city centre to ask questions to a visitor to St Albans. We have then used our results to analyse the difference between reasons why people visit St Albans in comparison to Malham.

We hope everyone enjoys their well earned half term break.
