It’s been an action packed first week back with lots of creativity. In English, we looked at designing characters and settings based on the French version of Little Red Riding Hood (Chaperon Rouge). It was great to see all the effort that had been put into homework on this. Our new Art topic links with English as we are looking at set design; we will be creating sets based on the video in English. This week we explored different set designers’ work and used charcoal in different ways.
In Maths we have been using multilink all week to build cubes and cuboids. The cubes helped us to understand cubed numbers and with the cuboids we identified the different areas and volumes for them.
It was so sunny at breaktime today that Forest Class decided to stay outside to do their spelling test.
We are looking forward to our Spring concert on the last day of term and were so impressed with the amount of people that auditioned for the roles of the Von Trapp family! Such wonderful singing and confidence was seen.
