Week 4 – lots of art we saw

We enjoyed our trip to the Tate Modern this week, taking the train and basking in the sunshine. The children enjoyed sketching lots of the art (and even St Paul’s Cathedral) at lunchtime. I believe we did 18,000 steps in total! Highlights from the children include:

  • Pop Art from Roy Lichtenstein
  • The catbus from “My Neighbour Totoro”
  • Calligraphy based work “The Shape of Words”
  • Some of the Materials and Objects exhibition

We also finished our suspense/fantasy stories this week; we look forward to sharing them with our buddy classes next week.

In Maths we have been looking at 3D shapes, especially focusing on identifying and building the nets for cubes and cuboids. In Arithmetic, we also learnt how to divide fractions by whole numbers. Keep practising this at home please!

Have a lovely weekend and see you all on Monday!
