This week Year 4 have super busy finishing their wonderful art work for the art exhibition which will be held on Open Evening. They can’t wait to show you what they’ve done – small hint – it’s all fitting together nicely!
We had a lovely morning at the field today using classification keys, which we have been learning about in science. They were busy hunting for minibeasts, and identifying different trees and we even used an app to help us identify different species, although we were not sure how accurate it was, as it identified one of the Year 4s as a slow worm! We followed this up with a bit of free time to enjoy the open space.
In English, we have been researching about an aspect of pollution, which we will be writing about as part of our themed story. We were looking into the effect of litter and air pollution on our planet and trying to work out what could be done about it.
In maths we have learnt how to use the formal method for division, which we call the bus stop method and begun a unit on negative numbers.
In music we have been continuing preparing for our Summer Concert. Here is a sneaky peek!
We have continued with our FeelIT unit of ‘connected’ and thought about different ways we are connected to each other from going on holiday to the same places to liking the same foods.
We hope you have a lovely weekend and it isn’t too hot for you.
