We’ve had a great week in Year 5 and finished our English Unit on Origami Yoda. The children wrote excellent discussion texts outlining the possibilities of whether Origami Yoda can predict the future in a very balanced and fair way. Well done everyone!
We were lucky enough to take part in an archery workshop yesterday, where lots of new skills were learned.
In Maths we have been focussing on word problems and how to approach them. Underline the key information and identify how many steps there are. Sometimes you also need to work backwards in order to identify an original number.
In History, we learnt all about Florence Nightingale and we are enjoying our topic on the Victorians. The homework is linked to the Victorians so get creative with your artwork!
Have a lovely weekend in the sunshine and see you on Monday!
