We’ve had a fantastic week in Year 2, full of some really great learning experiences!
We visited the science fair which had been prepared by Year 6. There we were able to learn about so many aspects of science by taking part in the activities pupils had set up. Did you know that electricity can be conducted by acidic fruit like lemons? Do you know how to make a coin disappear by playing with light and water? Do you know about the pH of different liquids? It was really fun and interactive and the Year 6 children worked so hard on their research and presentations.
In English, we have been identifying the features of leaflet writing and have started writing our own leaflets on ‘Keeping Healthy’. Homework this week is about this.
We ended the week with a very enjoyable art workshop, run by Hugo’s Mum in Scarlet class and two Year 12 students. We learnt more about mono printing and created our own portraits using a printing technique. What impressive results!
Time for a rest! Have a lovely weekend
