Happy European Languages Day! We enjoyed doing some Spanish, reading a story in German, responding to the register in different languages, guessing different languages and looking at interesting idioms (sayings).
We also took part in a 3D printing workshop, which required our listening and coding skills. We were very impressed with how the children picked up the skills so quickly and I’m sure they are excited to recieve their 3D keyrings!
On Monday, we recreated the Ancient Olympics and 2 victors were crowned. The children took part well, showing great encouragement to each other. We identified the similarities and differences between the Ancient and Modern games.
We finally finished reading Origami Yoda and we are still uncertain as to whether Origami Yoda is real or not…. A strange ending it was… We will all have to decide for ourselves.
In Maths we have been looking at rounding and going into negative numbers. The homework this week is based on multiplication (which we have covered in our Maths warm ups) so lots of skills have been going on!
In RE, we have continued to look at Judaism, creating our own artwork with the Star of David and looking at how to write Hebrew – it’s quite difficult remembering to write back to front!
Have a lovely weekend and may the Force be with you!
