It’s been a busy week in year 5. We’ve started our new topic on the Olympics and are preparing for our non-chronological report writing next week. The Ancient Olympic Games sounded epic but quite brutal and unfair!
In Maths, we have been looking at decimal numbers and rounding, adding, subtracting and ordering them. Keep getting used to decimals and remember to line them up on top of each other to compare them. Please also keep practising your times tables as these are so important for all Maths skills.
In Science, we conducted a fair test to find out if rice, sugar and salt dissolve in water. We will see what our experiment looks like next week.
