Little Terrors!

Yesterday, Year 5 were lucky enough to watch an opera called “Little Terrors” at St Albans School. It was very interactive and amusing. The story showed how we all have worries (little terrors) but we can learn to overcome them to try new experiences. The singers were amazing and we were lucky enough to meet the composer! Thank you to all involved!

This week we have been thinking about our stories about Athena and a mortal that might challenge her. The children created characters and settings and thought about how we might use actions and vocabulary effectively in a story. Next week we will look at the rules of speech before we move onto writing our stories.

In History we have been looking more in depth at Ancient Greek beliefs, including how they worshipped the Gods and Goddesses and what they believed about the afterlife. The children have done some great extended writing on this which you can see in their books during parents evening.

Have a lovely weekend and let’s hope the sunshine comes back!
