A frosty week

Yesterday we were lucky enough to visit a local synagogue and learn so much more about Judaism! The children had brilliant questions for the Rabbi and we got to see so many wonderful Jewish artefacts!

In Art, we have been looking and mixed media city and landscapes. The children are using visual notes during lessons and have been experimenting with charcoal, pastels and watercolours. This week we focused particularly on the artist Kittie Jones.

We are now ready to write our stories based on the story of Arachne and Athena next week. Our created character (a mortal)  will challenge Athena to a competition (and win!) but Athena doesn’t like losing… Spoiler – there will not be happy endings!

In Maths this week we have worked hard on perfecting the use of the bus stop method for division and even represented remainders as fractions! Well done everyone for your hard work!

Have a lovely weekend and don’t freeze!
