In English we have been reading an alternative version of ‘Rapunzel’ by Bethan Woolvin. We have thought about Rapunzel’s character and used adjectives to describe her and the witch. Next week we are planning to learn the story through actions and write it.
In Maths we have been working with multiples of 10 to make 100. When we know that 6 + 4 = 10, we also know that 60 + 40 = 100. We also worked with adding three multiples together, eg. 20 + 30 + 50 = 100
Scarlet class have been very busy with some wood working skills, starting their DT topic of ‘wheels and axles’. We are designing and making a moving cart. We have absolutely loved using the saws and clamps to make the chassis and look forward to completing their vehicles next week.
Crimson class have investigating waterproof materials in Science and had the challenge of designing and making something to keep Charles MAcintosh dry.
