A busy few weeks!

Over the past few weeks Year 5 have performed their wonderful sharing assemblies. Both classes should be very proud of themselves – lots of great acting going on! We will miss the Ancient Greek song – I bet it is stuck in everybody’s head!

We have also finished writing our stories based on Athena. The children worked very hard to include the rules of speech and lots of description. Our stories involved a mortal challenging Athena (an immortal) to a competition involving creativity, wisdom or strategy. Of course the mortal won… but Athena had a terrible punishment in mind for them!

In Maths we have been working on equivalent fractions. It is important to use times tables for this! The best place to start is multiplying by 2 or 10 to find an equivalent fraction – and remember you need to multiply (or divide) BOTH the numerator and denominator.

Only 2 weeks of the Autumn term left… Have a lovely weekend and see you on Monday!
