Countdown to Christmas!

Excitement for the holidays is building and we are starting to bring Christmas into our continuous provision.  We have had a cracker with paper hats inside, sleighs, Christmas trees and presents in Crimson class!

The story we are working from is the brilliant ‘Meerkat Christmas’ by Emily Gravett, about Sunny the Meerkat who searches for his perfect Christmas.  At the end of the story he realises that the most important thing is having friends and family around.

In Crimson class some children made meerkat costumes and they loved making desert scenes in the Small World area.

Scarlet class have continued creating ways to get across a wide river, coming up with some very inspired ideas.

We investigated how triangles (triangulation) make a very strong structure to support our creations.

Crimson class have been working hard on building their carts in DT.

We are all really looking forward to next week:

Tuesday – pantomime

Wednesday – Christmas lunch

Friday – 9 am Year 2 singing concert

Have a lovely weekend
