This week in English we finished our instructions on “How to disguise yourself as a Christmas Elf”. The children were very creative and used lots of year 5 grammar rules (and humour) to create their unique instructions.
In Maths, we have continued to look at fractions. We converted between improper fractions and mixed numbers. We also practised the butterfly method to add and subtract fractions with different denominators.
It’s been fun to do some festive art activities. We designed Christmas trees, made snowflakes and did some Christmas coordinate colouring.
The year 5 team would like to thank you for your generous gifts. You are very kind and it is all very appreciated. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
