Happy New Year!
We have had a great first week back with lots of learning already taking place.
In Maths, we have been learning about multiplying fractions and mixed numbers by whole numbers. We explored how to do this both visually and using a quicker method – multiplying the numerator. This week’s Maths homework is linked to this learning.
As part of D.T. this term, we will be baking a savoury scone. This week the class discussed hygiene rules before baking their scone next week. This will happen across the week on different days. Later in the term, we will be making a second savoury scone inspired by Mediterranean ingredients.
Most excitingly, we were able to have her first swimming lesson this week. The children were very excited to be going to the pool and have now been sorted into their groups.
