We have had an exciting week learning about how animals have adapted to life in the arctic and the rainforest. Did you know that in rainforest Tree Frogs have sticky pads on their paws to stop them from falling off slippery leaves? Did you know that reindeer dig through the snow to find moss to eat? We showed this in Discovery time.
In English we have been reading The Kapok Tree and we were all very upset about the amount of rainforest that is being destroyed so we wrote letters persuading man to stop cutting down the trees. We imagined we were one of the animals and thought about how losing our home would impact us.
In Maths we continued to practise our division skills practically and in worded problems. We are getting really confident with this.
Crimson class had a wonderful PE lesson with a Spurs coach. Everyone focused really hard on their dribbling skills. It’s Scarlet Class’s turn on Monday!
We are enjoying doing yoga in our PE lesson on Fridays. What a great way to end a hectic week!
Have a great weekend.
